Acadia

Another great activity is kayaking. You can take a tour with a company called Castine Kayak. They offer bioluminescence night kayak tours.
Headlands
The Headlands in Mackinac City, Michigan is one of those places where you’ll be wowed by its charms. It’s a 600-acre forested treasure along the shores of Lake Michigan. Not to be confused with the larger-than-life cranberries of Lake Superior, the area is a gem.
The Headlands isn’t a bad place to start your nighttime skygazing tour of the state. There are no camping grounds in the park itself, but you can rent property nearby to take your pick of accommodations. However, this particular destination has a little something for everyone.
In addition to the heady name of the town, the Headlands boasts an impressive assortment of museums, galleries, and studios to house your creativity. One of these is the Waterfront Event Center, which can be rented for a variety of functions, including weddings.
Big Island, Hawaii
Big Island is an idyllic and peaceful paradise for couples to spend romantic times together. It’s not as crowded as other destinations and offers a variety of romantic activities. Whether you want to hike in the rainforest, explore a volcano, or relax on a tropical beach, you can find it all on the Big Island.
Hawaii’s famous volcano, Mauna Kea, has some of the best stargazing conditions in the world. The dormant volcano reaches an elevation of over 13,000 feet, making it an ideal place to see the stars. A sunset cruise is another romantic activity on the Big Island.
Another great way to experience the beauty of the Big Island is by ziplining. These exciting, scenic excursions take you above the island’s lush rainforests and up to waterfalls. You’ll feel an adrenaline rush as you climb and descend, soaking in a view of Hawaii’s natural splendor.
Cherry Springs State Park
Cherry Springs State Park has one of the darkest skies in the country. In fact, it is the second International Dark Sky Park. That makes it an ideal place for stargazing.
This park also offers a campground and an overnight observation field. These areas are open all night and require a fee.
Cherry Springs is also the site of two annual viewing events. The first is the Woodsmen Show, which attracts thousands of people. Another event is the Black Forest Star Party, which draws astronomers and astronomy enthusiasts.
The best time to visit the state park is during the fall or winter. During the summer, the temperature is lower. So, if you are planning on visiting, be sure to pack warm clothing.
You should also bring binoculars and a telescope if you plan to view the Milky Way. If you’re looking for deep-sky objects, you should also take the time to check the phase of the moon.
Deyor Camps
The grandest of grand, the deyor camp is an immersive and rewarding experience for you and your partner in crime. Not to mention the novelty of the sex. This has been one of our favorite destinations since day one. One of the perks of this ol’ hood is the ability to eat, drink, and be merry if you so desire. So the question is, what to drink? One can easily sip on champagne if they so choose, or opt for a stiff drink in the spirit of the day. Fortunately the aforementioned booze-friendly fliers are available at all times. If you have not yet been tethered to your mate, you may want to think about this. In the end this is a once in a lifetime event.
