The life of a battery is limited and phones companies are trying to put all these myths in our head on how to increase our phone’s life. Here are some of the myths that people believe increase the battery-life of their phones:
Charging your phone overnight ruins your battery: If you have a new phone, like within this decade you are good. The modern day smartphones have technology to manage power when leaving your phone charging overnight. Now days it will do no harm and can actually be beneficial for your phone’s battery-life.
You have to wait for your phone to fully discharge to charge it: Are you one of those people who wait until your phone is completely dead to charge it? Stop doing it now! With modern day lithium-ion batteries it doesn’t matter when you charge your phone.
Only use the charger it came with: This is only thought to be true because name brand phone companies want you to. It’s nothing more than a marketing strategy from the companies to sell more of their own products. You can use any third-party to charge your phone’s battery.
Disable Bluetooth and WiFi to improve battery: It’s actually true that turning off both these features will save your battery a little, but don’t think it is drastic. It literally only saves half an hour a day, so it’s on you if you want to or not.
Use an app cleaner to improve life: Another myth and a marketing strategy to get users to buy pointless apps.
We all want our battery life on our smartphones to increase, that way we have more time to text, use apps, go on social media and call into our nasty mobile sex chat line without constantly charging.
